What is the difference between Hypnotherapy & Visualisation?

Hypnotherapy and visualisation are both used during Mindset Coaching sessions. Visualisation creates an internal experience. So often, people think visualisation is just about seeing images in your mind, but it's much more than that; it's a visceral, rich, sensory experience that can include emotions, physical feelings, and sounds - bringing your imagination to life.

The unconscious mind doesn't know the difference between fiction and reality. However, when you consciously focus on what you desire and continually visualise your goals, your brain will notice opportunities that can make them a reality. Sometimes, your brain can almost instantly start bringing your visualisations to life.

Hypnosis is a trance-like state of deep relaxation in which a person experiences increased attention, concentration, and suggestibility. While hypnosis is often described as a sleep-like state, it is better expressed as a state of focused attention, heightened suggestibility, and vivid imagery. People in a hypnotic state often seem sleepy and zoned out, but in reality, they are in a state of hyper-awareness.

Hypnosis has been shown to have many therapeutic benefits, most notably in reducing pain and anxiety, destructive habits, negative emotions, and limiting beliefs. Also, creating new positive behaviours and feelings. In addition, hypnosis has the potential to make significant changes with effortless ease. As our inner world changes, our outer world reflects this change to us, and everything shifts for our benefit.

Tapping into the unconscious mind with hypnosis

Within the coaching framework, we will uncover your desires; also, we may discover what is holding you back from achieving your goals or the desired state. Several techniques are used to elicit a client's limiting beliefs, sabotage behaviours, or habits that no longer serve you. This is where hypnosis and hypnotherapy practices are so effective. Hypnosis dives far deeper into the unconscious mind than visualisation.

Ultimately, hypnosis and visualisation can be so beneficial when accessing the unconscious, where the real work establishes the behaviours and habits that lead to the desired change and transformation-helping us deal with the stresses and pressures of our modern lives and can also facilitate physical healing.

Through tapping into the unconscious, we can access our innate healing ability, returning to wholeness, to a healthier body, mind, and spirit and gain control of our emotional state so we can use it as the guidance system it is meant to be, rather than be controlled and overwhelmed by it.

On a deeper, more spiritual level, it can connect us with our spiritual self, help us to connect to spirit guides and discover who we were born to be with clarity.

Hypnotherapy is an excellent tool to reframe or remove these limiting beliefs and create a new, powerful mindset of success, worthiness, and deservability.
