Gandharva (a Sanskrit term that means “sound” or “music”) is based on the ancient Indian tradition of sound healing. It is said that thousands of years ago, the sages were able to enter a state of deep meditation and hear the subtle vibrations of the natural world. They expressed these rhythms in the musical form now known as the Gandharva Veda. According to Vedanta, the vibrations of these beautiful melodies harmonise the body and the surrounding environment, promoting peace and well-being, using the crystal healing bowl will invoke the deepest sense unified relaxation.
During Sundari Sound Therapy, Julia uses the healing vibrations of the gong and crystal singing bowl to restore your body’s balance and release energetic blockages. When your cells resonate in harmony with your whole being, you experience vibrant health and joy.
Incorporating marma therapy — a timeless Ayurvedic technique for energy cleansing and rebalancing. Marma points are the junction points between consciousness and matter, between your body and the outside world. Ayurveda focuses on the most sensitive marma points – the 108 marmas located on the skin. Although they are invisible to the eye, marmas can be stimulated through gentle touch, which is profoundly soothing. Marma therapy promotes the flow of your inner intelligence, establishing balance throughout your entire physiology.
Prior to your treatment you will complete a Dosha Questionnaire to ascertain which Ayurvedic oil to use, Vata, Pitta or Kapha. Julia will use natural ayurvedic warmed oils that provide optimal balance and healing for your specific mind-body constitution.
