Julia lives in London and is married with two boys who have both flown the nest to enjoy university life. As a family, they all share a great love for the light of their lives, a pug named Luna.

Julia’s journey within the Healing Arts and Holistic Well-Being began in 1994 while living in New York. Since then, she has studied and qualified in a plethora of techniques and modalities from teachers worldwide.

Julia has balanced the life of a mother, Holistic Therapist, and Ayurvedic Practitioner for over 27 years. Most recently, her attention has been drawn to the female cycles and the journey of transition women go through during their lives; many of her clients and students were in the dark about these changes of perimenopause and menopause. As a holistic therapist, Julia works to hold space for the feelings and sensations such as isolation, confusion, and abandonment by society that may arise during these transitional stages.

This is the main reason for this portal of information, to offer ongoing support of up-to-date research about achieving and maintaining harmony in one’s life. Julia recognises that as we enter a new phase in our life, be that Maiden > Mother > Wild Woman > Crone; these are the times when we require more support, reassurance and guidance.

The Lunar Cycle is innately inside each of us as women; many of us are beginning to remember this cycle, aligning our lives and connecting with the sacred rhythm. Whether you are bleeding or have transitioned into a different phase in life, we can connect to the cadence and the energy of the moon to guide our womb journey.

An integral part of Julia’s life is meditation and yoga; through her practice and dedication she took to the ‘teacher’s path’ in 2008, Julia say’s “My passion is to hold sacred space either as a therapist or as a teacher, to offer an environment of safety, healing and encouragement. I relish in sharing the teachings of the healing aspect of meditation, yoga and ayurveda, striving to use eloquent language when I teach and value the beauty of clear communication as the key to greater understanding. I feel my responsibility as a teacher is to constantly investigate new ways to present the ancient teachings I am sharing with others, bringing healing mantras and the symbolism of the primordial elements into class, guiding students to explore the union between their mind, body, emotions and spirit, with this opens the door to self-discovery and illumination.

As a yoga and meditation teacher my passion is to enlighten and heighten a nurturing flow of breath and create freedom in the body, mind, and spirit of my students. Integrating what is required on the day, be that a vibrant sequential flow or an introspective, balanced restorative class, with the coordination of breath as an essential element of my teaching. Focusing on connecting the breath, the yoga class becomes a moving meditation, a dance of the inner self. Taking this one step further, I enjoy guiding them to investigate their inner landscape, their true nature, honouring their own unique expression and exploring how they are a small part of a universal tapestry, incorporating relaxation techniques in a positive and tranquil manner.

I encourage students to make personal choices during their yoga practice and develop skills to help them listen to their bodies. Leading them to discover sensitive body awareness, establish a relationship with their breath, and encourage a compassionate and joyful attitude towards themselves and the world around them is my inspiration and mission as a yoga teacher.”

It is through Julia’s personal yogic practice that she has developed a balanced and inclusive style of yoga for all levels – allowing the students to flourish within their own practice …
